We were lucky enough to have expert copywriter, Andrew Boulton, join us for our first Creative Community Mixer of the year.

Andrew came to talk to us about copywriting, creativity, comedy sketches, tiny stories, terrible insults, inattentive bumblebees, a mysterious pub poem and the truly horrific things hedgehogs get up to!

The Fold hosted Jade Snelson an ADHD Advocate, who shared invaluable insights on ADHD in the workplace. From identifying key ADHD traits to understanding how they manifest in individuals, Jade provided some great tips for managing ADHD and unlocking its unique strengths.

Our June Creative Community Mixer saw Mark Teece from Cogent, showcase real examples from brands and businesses who have successfully built, engaged and activated community online through social media.

Alongside this we ran our first ‘Creative Community Mix-up’. Guests were given a fictional thought-provoking Marketing brief and given 30 minutes to craft their ideas. Congratulations to the winners!

Claire Ferreira - Founder of Mums in Marketing headlined our May Marketeer event on 23rd May. Claire talked about how building communities can change your marketing forever.

On 26th April alongside Yas Shilton, we hosted a Pecha Kucha event at The Fold. It means 'chit-chat' in Japanese and is a unique presentation style used for storytelling, whereby presenters have 20 slides, each graced with a brief 20-second narration.

Great to see so many people at The Fold share ideas and connect with others visually, concisely and memorably.

The event saw Beyond the Book's Emma Head speak about standing out on LinkedIn whilst Cogent's Carl Ebanks and Junction Eleven's David Goode discussed how AI can help enhance creativity and productivity.

We're thrilled to have been part of BBC Bring the Drama festival at The Fold alongside SAE Institute UK!

From sessions with Motionhouse to lighting workshops, we've been igniting passions for the stage and screen.

We heard all about generative AI and how to use it from Cogent's CEO, Ian Gathard and Digital Director, Carl Ebanks along with an empowering talk from Jo Bird on personal branding and how to mascot yourself.

Thank you to all that came, it was a packed event and we hope you went away feeling very inspired.

Lights, camera, action!

We held our very first Fold48 film competition, showcasing the incredible talent within our community.

The filmmakers were given a character, an object, and a line to turn into an original film within a 48-hour timeframe.

The top 5 films were premiered right here at The Fold, impressing the judges and audience.
